High Holidays 2009-5770
It was with delight that this year's High Holiday Services took place at the International Sofitel Hotel on Place Jourdan in the heart of the European Quarter. This dialogue provided additional insight into the magic of the holidays allowing access and fulfillment in the prayer services for everyone present.
As usual, there was an educational and fun children’s programme which ran alongside the traditional prayer services, allowing the children to have an active role in the holidays and giving them an interactive and enjoyable way in which to learn about their Jewish heritage.

He maintained that Western thought usually sets philosophy in opposition to mysticism, the former being rational and the latter being non-rational. But, in the Middle Ages, this was not the case. Rather, philosophy was the handmaiden of mysticism. This is especially true of the great Jewish philosopher, Moses Maimonides. By examining his science, philosophy, and definition of worship, we can see this clearly. About 35 people attended the event.
