This Simchat Torah we will celebrate with them!
We rejoice with all our hearts at the release of the hostages — alive.
Today they are free!

Kohelet, or Ecclesiastes, traditionally read at Sukkot — the very holiday we are celebrating — teaches us:
“A time of war and a time of peace; a time to mourn and a time to dance.”
Today is a day of joy.
Today we say: “Lo amut ki echye” — “I shall not die, but live.”
We will live, and we will dance this Simchat Torah — not for them, but with them.
Tomorrow night we will again celebrate the beautiful day of Simchat Torah.
Unlike two years ago, this will be a day of true joy.
To all who sacrificed so much to make this possible, we are deeply grateful.
Every day in our Tefillah we pray for peace.
That prayer is not naïve or utopian — it comes from a conviction that we can live together in this world.
But that hope is joined with courage and strength: we will dare to live.
Let us use our collective energy to build peace together.
Let us face our shared challenges together.
Life must not, and should not, be a zero-sum game.
And so we wish the same to all humanity:
life, joy, and prosperity.
Learn the new reality: Jews around the world will no longer ask permission to live.
We seek peace and blessings for all — but our resolve to live, to rejoice, and to endure is unbreakable.
So for this Simchat, come dance with us!
Hag sameah!
